Yoga involves assimilation and integration of both masculine and feminine forces. In this class we will reflect on the powerful synthesis of Siva and Sakti, the archetypal male and female personas that abide within everyone. In the body this manifests as equal and harmonious extension on the vertical and horizontal axes. We practice movements to widen and expand in order to embody the essence of the global, all inclusive, relational feminine. And we practice vertical movements to express the powerful ascent of the singular undifferentiated masculine.
