For thousands of years, states of sleep and dream have been explored alongside yogic meditation and samadhi. Sleep itself is one of the best yogas, for it helps rest the mind together with all biological functioning. Historically, in both Western and Eastern traditions, working with dreams supports spiritual and psychological transformation.
In this seminar, we explore the importance of tracking dreams within a yoga practice. Somatic and psychic content, unavailable during waking hours appears under many different guises in dreams. Traces of experience, called samskaras, surface in dreams, showing up as images, people, circumstances and feelings. Join Tias for this fascinating inquiry into how dreams can be both instructive and revelatory on the path of practice.
