Each day in practice, we tap into an inner pharmacy, a virtual medicine chest thousands of years old. Our internal regulator has like a PHD in chemistry, continuously administering small doses to regulate our biorhythms. Every breath, every pulse, every hormonal secretion is in support of this biological wisdom. The mind that oversees every physiological function in the body is a marvel, a true wonder. Each day when you get to the mat, honor your wisdom keeper for like a master pharmacist, its indwelling knowledge is full of discernment. It is your Buddha within. Every breath you take, every meal, and each thought you think should be in alignment with this inner guide, supporting it to do its good work. Really, you just need to get out of your own way and allow the wisdom keeper within to guide you. We do this in moments of deep quiet when we become serene and still. It is like when a massage therapist or acupuncturist, after delivering a therapeutic technique, steps out of the room to let the patient heal alone and in silence. So each day, step aside and let your mind and body regenerate. For 15 minutes a day up to one hour, give time and space for the inner medicine to flow.
