For many people, respiration is a struggle. Fear, anxiety and distress get embedded in the region of the diaphragm. In this class, we attune to the fine, subtle rhythms of the breath. In movement practice, we release all the connective tissues in and around the diaphragm and through breath awareness bring ease to the body-mind. In pranayama, we tap the inherent breath in order to cultivate a free flowing, organic breath.
Have your props handy! We recommend a block, blanket, bolster, belt (and chair if you have access to one).
