Spring Cleaning: Yoga, Somatic Movement, & Mindful Breath Work | May 6-Class Online Series

May 2 - May 13

REGISTER HERE

Because in winter the prana can become stagnant and stale, Spring is the ideal time to do practices that cleanse, purge, and purify the body. This month we begin in the lower gut and move sequentially through the intestine, lung, throat, and nasal cavities to flush the body of impurities.

* All classes are held from 10:00 – 11:30am Mountain Time*

Friday, May 2 | Yoga for the Colon

In yoga and Ayurveda, the colon is the first structure to mobilize and regulate. In this class we pump, twist, and lengthen the lower abdomen in order to improve elimination in the colon.

Sunday, May 4 | Cleansing the Gut

In this class we gently twist, wring, fold, and flush the small intestine. Via twists, bridge poses, and abdominal folds, this class is designed to regulate peristalsis and improve digestion.

Tuesday, May 6 | Liver Flush

Disharmony in the liver leads to stagnation, lethargy, and metabolic imbalance. Stagnation leads to pressure, distension, and pain. In this class we exercise the organ of the liver, increasing blood flow through its many cells to remove stagnation.

Friday, May 9 | Flushing, Rinsing, and Cleansing the Lungs

Allergies and respiratory illness are common in the Spring season. The lungs play a vital role in detoxifying the blood, not only by removing carbon dioxide but by cleansing the blood via lymph drainage.

Sunday, May 11 | Purifying the Throat Chakra

In yoga, the throat chakra is known as the place of purification. In this practice we increase the flow of blood and lymph through the neck and throat to flush, rinse, and purify the delicate tissues of the throat.

Tuesday, May 13 | Cleansing the Nostrils and Sinuses

Pollens, dust, and pollutants can block the air passageways to the nasal passages. In this class we practice many techniques to cleanse the sinuses, open the nasal passages, and clear the upper respiratory region.

Cost: $100 + tax
