While most yoga classes aim to simply stretch the muscles and connective tissue, this course focuses on specific techniques to help optimize the flow of prana (blood and lymph) through the internal organs. When the organs perform optimally, there is radiant vitality in the body. Many people suffer from stagnation in the viscera due to excess sitting, dietary imbalances and emotional holding. This can lead to sluggishness, stagnation and the unwanted growth of tumors and cysts. In this unique course, we practice to promote health and vital function within the internal organs. We review the anatomical position and function of each organ. We practice dynamic and restorative yoga postures and SATYA to squeeze, wring, drain and cleanse fluids through each organ.
