Unlocking the Power of the Spine | Tuesday, February 11th 2:00pm – 5:00pm
In the practice of yoga postures we aim to align the spine and make it supple by supporting the natural contours of the spine. We do this by stretching the muscles that attach directly to the spine in supine, seated and standing movements. This class mobilizes the essential structures of the spine—the spinal discs, ligaments rib attachments and musculature, while exploring the mystical central channel of the spine called the sushumna. This is the vital axis through the body, beginning at the perineum and ascending to the crown of the head.
