The Eternal Net

The real world is beyond our thoughts and ideas: we see it through the net of our desires, divided into pleasure and pain, right and wrong, inner and outer. To see the universe as it is, you must step beyond the net. It is not difficult to do, for the net is full of holes.

This passage is fitting in light of the Knot of Eternity, our Prajna Yoga symbol. This we could call the “Eternal Net” of inter connection. And like Nisargadatta’s net, the mandala is full of holes. Inside the cross-weave are empty spaces and gaps. The question then arises: Can we be celebrate the weave, the intersections, the points of crossing–in all of our encounters and all the varied moments that fill our day. And can we too be open to the empty spaces, the silence, the nothing, between all our connections. Can we see the points of contact and the negative space around them as part of an undivided whole. Can we fall in love with both the experience of emptiness
and form?
