Spring Awakening

There is no better time to awaken your faith than now. Yea, this is the very season of hope and renewal—the boy with glove in hand on baseball’s opening day, the senior eagerly awaiting commencement and the start of a new life. In the high country, the mountain ravines can hardly contain the force of the spring snow run off. Time to harness the inner power, to live your calling and let the spirit inside shine its constant fire. However, sometimes the odds are against us. Far too many get punished for speaking their truth in the open air. People are persecuted precisely because of their deep passion and firm faith. Those who fear and vie for control will always resent those who know rapture and an unbridled spirit. But you have come so far down this path already. There is no turning back to the old way of being. While what may lie ahead is uncertain, stay true to the path of the awakened heart. Let then your deep longing be your guide to move beyond doubt and condemnation. Fertilize the soil inside, until your ground sprouts tender shoots of new love.
