Friday, March 17 | 4:00 – 6:00pm | Yoga for Energy and Vitality
Prana is the deep life force. It is breath, blood and lymph and animates all the cells and tissues of the body. However, due to compression and stagnation, the blood may become restricted, compromising the flow of prana to all the living cells of the body. In this immersion come prepared to generate blood flow through dynamic and supported postures. In this class we practice movements to “pranagize” (energize) the body by bringing blood flow to all the tissues of the body. This aids in nourishing the tissues, healing chronic pain and bringing vitality to both body and mind.
Saturday, March 18 | 9:30am – 12:30pm | Twists to Improve Circulation
This class involves twisting movements for the spine, organs, muscles and skin. Through supine, seated and standing poses come prepared to release blockages in the gut and spinal musculature. Twists help to squeeze, flush and replenish the tissues of the body. They allow the breath to flow deeper, they revitalize the blood and boost energy. After moving through a sequence of twists, we practice pranayama to open the lungs and chest.
Sunday, March 19 | 9:30am – 12:30pm | Yoga and the River of Breath
In classical yoga, the life force within the body is likened to the flow of a river. In this class, we practice movements to sustain the fluid channels in the body, including circulatory pathways of blood and lymph. By lengthening and deepening the respiratory rhythm, we help promote wave-like motion through the brain, organs and spine. Come prepared to increase flow in all the fluid channels of your body.
COST: $245 for all 8 hours
Drop-In on Friday ONLY: $75
