Blood Flow to the Heart | Online Workshop
In order to stay vital and healthy, it is important that we do regular practices to facilitate the flow of blood back to the heart. What poses are optimal for supporting venous return? In this class we do poses that nourish the heart and lungs while investigating the subtle anatomy of the heart as the seat of feeling and empathetic presence in yoga.
In light of the coronavirus, revitalizing the heart and lung is essential. Tias begins showing slides with an overview of the bloodstream and anatomical heart, and shares insights into the mystical energetics of the heart chakra. In practice we do poses to safely invert, or partially invert, the body and pranayama to replenish the heart-lung.
