Rest and Resilience

In this practice we will focus on cultivating resilience and rest through poses that are passively energizing. In order to reduce fatigue, we will practice poses slowly and close to the ground. By doing so, we shift our center of gravity by connecting to the pull of the Earth. Gift yourself the opportunity to center in by relaxing deeply in both time and space.

Pranagize!
9:30am – 12:30pm
In this class come prepared to generate blood flow through dynamic and supported postures. We practice twists and side bends to “pranagize” (energize) the body by bringing blood flow to all the tissues of the body. This aids in nourishing the tissues and bringing energy and vitality to the body and mind.
Fluidity and Flow
2pm – 5pm
Enjoy a vinyasa-inspired class that is dynamic and stimulating without moving too quickly. Just like choreography in a dance, vinyasa suggests linking poses together to create continuous movement. Warm up with surya A and B, with active warrior II and triangle play. Move to the floor for a series of forward bends and deep twists, before heading into a combination of inversions, including shoulder stand in the middle of the room. Props Needed: A bolster, blanket, block and strap.
