SUMMARY:SATYA 1 | Opening the Fascia | In-Person & Livestream Online Immersion
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE: IN-PERSON IMMERSION\nREGISTER HERE: LIVESTREAM ONLINE IMMERSION\nUK STUDENTS REGISTER HERE\n\nSensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement\nCourse Description\nIn a totally unique way\, the SATYA practice opens doorways into the interior\, providing new pathways of perception and feeling. It guides students away from “doing” movement and toward sensing\, receiving and “being” movement. As an adjunct to yoga practice\, somatic awareness leads to embodied wisdom. \nSATYA is Prajna Yoga’s “yin” style practice. All the movements are done on the floor in a flowing fashion\, without force. The SATYA movements cultivate inner listening and heighten proprioceptive awareness. This awareness is the body’s innate intelligence. By increasing our capacity for sensory awareness\, we become more sentient\, wakeful beings in the world. The exercises are non-weight bearing and involve sliding\, gliding and circular movements to reduce myo-fascial holding in the body. \nThe SATYA training\, along with yoga postures\, involves neural-muscular re-education. Like in vinyasa training\, breath is combined with movement in order to deepen the respiratory rhythm. All movements support profound physical rest of the body and prepare for savasana and yoga nidra (the yogic sleep). \nOur SATYA 1 immersion is perfect for first-time students or returning practitioners looking to reconnect with the subtle body. Experience SATYA 1 from anywhere with our livestream online option. Join Tias & Surya in real time via Zoom\, or watch on your own schedule with one-year access to all recordings. You’ll receive the full experience—guided practices\, digital materials\, and access to our vibrant online learning space—all from the comfort of home. \n\nLivestream Online\nThe in-person immersion (in Santa Fe\, New Mexico\, USA) will be livestreamed.  You have the option to attend live via Zoom or watch the recordings on your schedule. \nThe hybrid immersions bring the full depth of the Prajna Yoga experience directly to you\, wherever you are in the world. SUMMARY:Bandhas: Gateways to the Yoga Body | Online Immersion
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nBandhas are internal seals that direct the flow of vital energy through the body. Engaging the bandhas is an essential part of yoga\, for the bandhas impact the master glands of the body while sparking open the nerve bundles along the front of the spine. However\, due to stress\, trauma and the pressures of modern day living\, strain lodges in the body\, making bandha work precarious and potentially irritating. This course undertakes an in-depth study of the anatomy of the pelvic\, abdominal and cervical “locks”. We look at the bandhas not as contractions\, but as internal seals used to channel prana\, activate the chakras and balance the autonomic nervous system.  We aim to demystify the bandhas\, identifying them neither as mechanical locks nor esoteric techniques. Rather we will see how the bandhas flow as a natural extension of breathing and spinal motion. We will have time to explore a bandha each week using yoga\, somatic work\, meditations\, journaling and pranayama. In this course we compare descriptions of the bandhas from the esoteric yoga tradition with contemporary research in the fields of psychology\, neuroscience\, somatics\, and contemplative science. \nCost: $135 + tax \nWhen: Live Zoom Meetings on April 1\, 8\, 16\, and 22 | 9:30am – 11:30am MT. 11:30am – 1:30pm ET. \n\nDay 1   Tapping the Root: Mula Bandha \nIn this practice we energize the innermost structures of the pelvis without clenching or gripping. We explore how mula bandha supports the reproductive organs while providing stability and fluidity in the first two chakras. \nDay 2  The Flying Bandha: Uddiyana Bandha \nUddiyana bandha is critical for lengthening and stabilizing the lower back while activating the third chakra in the solar plexus. Discover how this bandha supports the internal organs and regulates the adrenal glands. We explore how this region is related to the energy of power and fear. \nDay 3  The Throat Bandha \nThis day is devoted to the throat and technique of the “water bandha”. This seal impacts the fluids in the neck– blood\, lymph and the secretion of thyroxine from the thyroid gland.  In this class\, we engage the delicate structures of the throat without causing excessive constriction. We study how the throat relates to sound resonance\, vocal power and repressed emotion. \nDay 4   The Tongue Seal \nIn hatha yoga it is of utmost importance to expand the region of the tongue\, soft palate and upper throat. Yogis emphasize curling their tongue backward in order to open the pathway into the cranial chakras. Constriction of the palate and upper throat can result in diminished oxygen to the brain\, fatigue\, poor concentration\, and dementia. In this class we open the roof of the mouth and work with the vital energy centers in the brain. \n\n**Please note ALL Live Zoom sessions and classes will be recorded should you be unable to attend any live streams. All live session recordings are available to you for 30 days after the last class concludes. \n** This immersion is valid for 8 hours of Continuing Education\, and can be applied towards the required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Program. \n**Have your props handy! We recommend two blocks\, blankets\, a thick bolster\, a 10’ belt/strap\, and a backless chair (modifications will be given if you do not have a chair). We recommend yogaoutlet.com and Manduka for props; backless chairs can be found on Amazon and Etsy.

SUMMARY:Opening the Currents of Prana: Yoga and the Five Vayus | In-Person & Hybrid Online Immersion
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE FOR IN-PERSON IMMERSION\n\nCan’t make it in-person?\nExperience Yoga and the Five Vayus from anywhere with our hybrid online option. Join Tias & Surya in real time via Zoom\, or watch on your own schedule with one-year access to all recordings. You’ll receive the full experience—guided practices\, digital materials\, and access to our vibrant online learning space—all from the comfort of home. \nLearn more about our Hybrid Online Immersions here.\n\n  \nMorning & afternoon hybrid online schedule:\n9:30am – 12:30pm\, and 2:00pm – 5:00pm Mountain Time \n  \nREGISTER HERE FOR HYBRID / LIVESTREAM\n\nOpening the Currents of Prana: Yoga and the Five Vayus\nThe earliest yoga teachings describe the “winds” of the body moving through thousands of tubules\, channels and vessels. In yoga there are five primary winds located in the lower intestine\, solar plexus\, chest\, and head. In this course\, we discover the intersection between contemporary understanding of the biorhythms of the blood and nerve with the older yoga model of the five winds. We use yoga posture\, pranayama\, and somatic practice (SATYA) to activate or mitigate the strength of each vayu. In order to meet the needs of your own physical condition\, we take into account your fatigue levels\, blood pressure\, digestion\, and age. \nWe map the pathway of the inner winds throughout the body in order to bring greater wakefulness and movement to each vayu. Through dharma study\, guided meditation\, yoga nidra\, somatic awareness\, and yoga postures\, this is a transformational week of practice and study. Each day includes seated meditation\, chanting\, and inspirational dharma teaching followed by Somatic Awareness Training (SATYA). We offer both dynamic and restorative yoga practices to harmonize and enhance each vayu. In this intensive we will investigate poems of awakening from the yoga\, Taoist\, and Zen traditions to inspire opening in the physical body. \n\nHow might this workshop inform my teaching\, personal practice\, and my life?\nDecrease Fatigue\n\nIf you’ve been struggling with physical fatigue or low energy levels\, this course can help rejuvenate your body. The practices emphasizes movement that increase tissue hydration and circulation. This helps revitalize your energy and leave you feeling more vibrant and alive.\n\nImprove Digestion\n\nYour digestive health is paramount for overall vitality. If you suffer digestive issues\, it depletes the overall prana. Many of these practices target the gut\, to help improve your digestive fire and capacity for absorption.\n\nManage Stress and Anxiety\n\nIn today’s hectic world\, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by stress and anxiety. Tension often accumulates in the neck\, head and jaw. Working with the vayus will not only release strain in your body but lead to tranquility of mind. By increasing your awareness of your body’s internal signals\, you’ll gain valuable tools to better manage the flow of nerve and blood inside.\n\nAlleviate Chronic Pain and Stiffness\n\nOpening the pathway of the inner winds provides a gentle yet effective approach to relieving tension. Through mindful movements like rocking\, pumping\, and sliding\, you’ll open the internal channels and release areas of tension\, allowing you to move more freely and comfortably.\n\nConnect with Your Body’s Circulatory Flow\n\nIn our busy lives\, it’s easy to become dysregulated. Working with the five vayus offers a chance to regulate your circulatory\, digestive and respiratory systems\, leading to better overall health and a greater sense of well-being.\n\n  \n\nDay 1: Lower Intestine: Apana\nThis first day is the groundwork for the entire study. When the lower spine and its associated organs are healthy\, there is lightness and space in their entire body. This day we explore the way the “inner winds” of nerve and blood pass through the lumbar spine\, sacrum\, pelvis\, and pelvic organs. We do standing poses\, twists\, inversions\, supine poses\, supported backbends\, and pranayama with focus on exhalation. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 1\n  \nDay 2: Solar Plexus: Samana\nThe fire center of the body is difficult to control yet is the source of the body’s inner vitality. Samana is present in the upper abdomen and relates to digestive fire and the third chakra. This area is both the furnace for digestive fire and the place of absorption. This class aims to help release holding in the mid-trunk and solar plexus. In this day we explore uddiyana bandha in the abdominal region using SATYA\, twists\, forward bends\, and pranayama. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 2\n  \nDay 3: Heart + Lungs: Prana\nPrana resides in the heart/lungs and is the gateway to the experience of lightness and joy. In this day we concentrate on opening the upper ribs\, sternum\, and collar bones in order to improve elasticity of the lungs. Our emphasis is on releasing restriction in the diaphragm and mobilizing the breath. We explore the ways that grief\, depression\, and joy are regulated by prana. Practice includes backbends\, inversions\, meditation\, and pranayama. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 3\n  \nDay 4: Throat + Skull: Udana\nUdana is the upward rising breath located in the throat and head. It is the most difficult of all the vayus to control. In this day\, we will see how stress\, psychological tension\, and emotional strain result in constriction of the neck\, jaw\, and tongue. This class addresses the effects of jalandhara bandha related to the throat chakra. We do inversions\, supported backbends\, meditation\, chanting\, and pranayama. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 4\n  \nDay 5: Circulation: Vyana\nThis vayu is the most healing of all the internal winds. It involves the circulation of blood through the organs\, glands\, and tissues of the body. Vyana\, the “dispersing wind\,” promotes meditative awareness\, serenity\, and deep rest. We do floor work\, supported poses\, savasana\, yoga nidra\, and meditation. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 5\n\nWhen: August 10 – 14 | 9:30am – 5:00pm Mountain Time\n  \nCost:\n\nIn-Person Immersion in Santa Fe: Early Bird Rate $995 + tax until July 10th\, or $1\,095 + tax after (includes daily lunches)\nHybrid Online Immersion: $725 + tax\n\nDrop-In to Individual Days Online: $145 per day\n\n\n\n  \n\n**Registration includes one year of access to the course materials \n**Registration for the in-person immersion includes daily vegan\, organic\, gluten-free lunches and tea \n**Anatomy of the Vayus is good for 30-Hours of Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance\, and can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga Therapy Track and our 300/500-Hour Teacher Training Program

We practice fine articulated movement to open new pathways of perception and feeling. Done mostly on the floor\, SATYA involves sliding\, gliding\, stretching\, unwinding\, and core-building movements. The movements are a powerful tonic to reduce fatigue\, strain\, and holding in the body. The SATYA movements aim to increase circulation throughout all the tissues of the body. In this way\, SATYA acts as a “prana pump” to oxygenate the bloodstream and irrigate the tissues. \nWhile yoga today often emphasizes the “doing” of a posture\, SATYA encourages “being” in a movement with heightened awareness. Our aim is to tap an inner potency and to help support the body’s innate intelligence and capacity to self-regulate. All movements increase proprioceptive awareness and neuroplasticity. This practice is a therapeutic\, “yin” tonic for the body. \nSATYA is very similar to contemporary yoga that focuses on vinyasa\, combining breath with movement. In SATYA we synthesize breath with movement but without force. Done on the floor\, SATYA supports connective tissue mobilization. Deep inner listening is required to heal both mind and body. To that end\, SATYA builds meditative awareness while increasing physical vitality. Thus SATYA is mindfulness training through movement. As a movement meditation\, SATYA builds vipassana (insight) into the sensory-motor pathways of the body. This practice builds deep relaxation and clarity. The SATYA movements replenish the body by “soaking” the tissues. Thus SATYA movements can be done in conjunction with savasana and yoga nidra. \nThis training covers the foundational movements of the SATYA practice. This week will revitalize your own body by reducing fatigue and increasing mobility in your fascia. At the same time\, you will learn the key principles of the SATYA practice for the classroom. For yoga teachers who work therapeutically or with aging populations\, SATYA is a simple yet highly effective system to help safely mobilize and repair the connective tissues. \nEach morning includes guided meditation\, sound resonance\, dharma study\, visualization training\, and SATYA practice. We do yoga postures following SATYA to stabilize the joints and tissues of the body. Tias teaches anatomy of through an array of colorful slides. We study the muscular-skeletal system\, the organs\, nerves\, and glands. Tias also integrates images from nature\, sacred architecture\, and art to describe the energetic flow of prana through the body. Tias brings his background in Sanskrit\, cranial-sacral study\, yoga philosophy\, and mystical anatomy to provide a transformational week of practice and study. \n\nCourse of Study\n\ncultivate essential sensory-motor awareness\nmobilize the joints and build bi-lateral symmetry in the body\naddress low back pain\ndesign fundamental sequences that include both SATYA and asana\ndiscover the importance of spirals and counter spirals\n“it’s all about the joints”: working with tendons\, ligaments\, and joint spaces\nbeing in the “Pause”: the importance of not-doing\nusing gravity to help center inward\nre-educating the neural-muscular system and brain pathways\nlearn how to “ride the edge” through small movements\nlearn the healing potential of the movements and their effects on the myofascial system\nreduce fatigue and exhaustion\nreduce the effects of speed trapped in the body\nsense and feel the connection of the iliopsoas muscle to your spine\ndiscover how to use the SATYA movements to stretch the myofascial sheaths\ninvestigate the most current myofascial and brain information based on current research\n\n  \n*SATYA I is the first course of a 3-part 150-Hour SATYA Certification Program \n*SATYA 1 is a prerequisite for SATYA 2 and SATYA 3 \n\nWhen: August 3 – 7 | 9:30am – 5:00pm Mountain Time\n  \nCost: \n\nIn-Person Immersion in Santa Fe: $1\,398 + tax (includes daily lunches)\nHybrid Online Immersion: $1\,050 + tax\n\n  \n\n**Registration includes one year of access to the course materials \n**Registration for the in-person immersion includes daily vegan\, organic\, gluten-free lunches and tea \n**Your registration also comes with our August Series of 6 online monthly classes! \n**SATYA 1 is good for 45-Hours of Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance\, and can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga Therapy Track and our 300/500-Hour Teacher Training Program

SUMMARY:Yoga and Myofascial Release | Immersion in Santa Fe
DESCRIPTION:Fascia is the physical structure that holds us together. Literally. It keeps our bones upright\, our organs in place\, and supports the pathway of the nerves. It is also considered to be the largest sensory organ. \nIn this course we take a posture\, map out the anatomical layers of fascia\, and practice different techniques to release the connective tissue. Morning sessions are devoted to asana and SATYA movements that enhance the flow of fascia through the body. In the afternoons we work in pairs to manually facilitate release in the pose by lifting\, stretching\, compressing or spiraling the fascia. \n  \nWhen: August 3 – 5 | 9:30am – 4:30pm Mountain Time (includes a 90 minute lunch daily) \nWhere: The Prajna Temple | 11 Toltec Rd\, Santa Fe \nCost: $595 +tax \n  \n*Registration includes daily vegan\, organic\, gluten-free lunches and tea \n*Click here to view suggested lodging options.\n\n**Yoga and Myofascial Release is good for 18 hours of Continuing Education through Yoga Alliance\, and can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program and the Prajna Yoga Therapy Track.

SUMMARY:Yoga and the Internal Organs | Immersion in Santa Fe
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nWhile it is valuable to stretch and strengthen the musculoskeletal system in yoga\, the health of the organs brings radiant vitality to the entire body. In this course we utilize postures\, pranayama\, meditation and dietary regulation to support the health of the internal organs. \nWe focus on generating the flow of prana (blood and lymph) through each organ to support motility (inherent motion) and metabolic exchange. We review the anatomical position and function of each organ and practice SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga) to slide\, squeeze\, wring\, drain\, and flush fluids through each organ. \nMany people suffer from stagnation in the viscera due to excess sitting\, dietary imbalances and repressed emotion. This can lead to sluggishness\, fatigue\, stagnation\, and the unwanted growth of tumors and cysts. In each day of this course\, we practice active postures such as twists\, back-arches and inversions and do restorative postures to reduce inflammation. \nThe organs are highly sensitive\, highly responsive structures given their soft-bodied walls and compartments. Thus we will take into consideration not only the physiological make up of each organ but also the psychological and emotional characteristics of the liver\, kidney\, lung\, and large intestine. \nSurya will present information on the alchemy of yoga and food to heal the internal organs. From both Ayurveda and Oriental Medicine\, we study the meridians and key acupressure points associated with each organ. In this unique course\, you will gain a new approach to practice\, healing your organic body for longevity and vitality. \n\nDay 1 | The Large Intestine\nThe Large Intestine is the primary organ of cleansing and removal. We begin the course by preparing the base of the GI tract for elimination. We build stability and mobility in the sacrum\, hips\, and pelvis to support the movement of apana in the lower gut. \nDay 2 | The Kidneys\nThe kidneys are considered the source of vitality for the entire body. It is essential not to allow the kidney region to become restricted\, locked\, or dehydrated. This can happen as a result of muscular tension in the low back\, fear\, and emotional holding. In this class we will regard the kidneys as huge aquifers that provide endurance and homeostasis to the entire body. \nDay 3: | The Liver\nCalled “The General” in Chinese Medicine\, the liver is the largest organ in the body. It is a real multi-tasker — it manufactures and stores blood and is the primary site where blood is purified. The liver is also a receptacle for toxins and negative emotion. The practice of yoga improves liver function by cleansing and purifying the blood. \nDay 4 | The Lungs\nThe lungs are highly sensitive organs that are responsible for oxygenating the blood\, removing carbon dioxide\, and absorbing prana into the body. We keep the lungs supple through asana\, pranayama\, and heart centered practices. In the time of COVID we build resiliency and immunity within the lung tissue. \nDay 5 | The Brain\nB.K.S Iyengar once said that the brain is the hardest organ to adjust. The neural expression of the brain can be felt in every tissue of the body. Through movement and meditation we support the cranial rhythms\, optimize circulatory flow through the brain\, and balance the two brain hemispheres. \n  \nGet $100 off if you register before May 17th!\n  \nWhen: June 11 – 15\, 2024 | 9:30am – 5:00pm Mountain Time (includes a 90 minute lunch* daily) \nWhere: The Prajna Temple | 11 Toltec Road\, Santa Fe \nCost: $995 + tax Early Bird before May 17th\, $1\,095 + tax after \n  \n*Registration includes daily vegan\, organic\, gluten-free lunches and tea \n*Click here to view suggested lodging options\n\n**Yoga and the Internal Organs is good for 30 hours of Continuing Education through Yoga Alliance\, and can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program and the Prajna Yoga Therapy Track.

SUMMARY:SATYA 1 | Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement | In-Person Retreat
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nDiscover the Healing Power of Somatic Yoga\nThis extraordinary benefits of this practice on your fascia\, joints\, and breath. This course on SATYA will no doubt add depth and somatic sophistication to your practice… and it is so healing. Designed by Tias Little after 30 years of education\, practice\, study\, and research\, SATYA is a somatic practice that builds mindfulness through movement. \nThe Therapeutic Benefits of SATYA and Yin Yoga\nSATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement) is Prajna Yoga’s therapeutic\, “yin” style practice. We practice fine articulated movement on the floor in a flowing fashion\, synthesizing breath with movement. The exercises are non-weight bearing and involve sliding\, gliding\, and circular movements to reduce myo-fascial holding in the body. When done on the floor\, the breath and movement together enables myofascial release without strain. All movements are done slowly\, in isolation\, and without force. The SATYA movements replenish the body by increasing circulation (the flow of prana) throughout all the tissues of the body. SATYA acts as a “prana pump” to oxygenate the bloodstream and irrigate\, or “soak” the tissues. \nThe SATYA movements cultivate inner listening and heighten proprioceptive awareness\, neuroplasticity\, and neural-muscular re-education. This awareness is the body’s innate intelligence. By increasing our capacity for sensory awareness\, we become more sentient\, wakeful beings in the world. While yoga today often emphasizes the “doing” of a posture\, SATYA encourages “being” in a movement with heightened awareness. \nHow SATYA Can Transform Your Restorative Yoga Practice\nOur aim is to tap an inner potency\, and to help support the body’s innate intelligence and capacity to self-regulate. Thus SATYA is mindfulness training through movement. As a movement meditation\, SATYA builds vipassana (insight) into the sensory-motor pathways of the body. The movements are a powerful tonic to reduce fatigue\, strain\, and tension in the body\, and to build deep relaxation and clarity. All movements support profound physical rest of the body and prepare for savasana and yoga nidra (the yogic sleep). \nThis training covers the foundational movements of the SATYA practice. This will revitalize your own body by reducing fatigue\, building coherence\, and integration of all the connective tissues of your body. At the same time\, you will learn the key principles of the SATYA practice for the classroom. For yoga teachers who work therapeutically or with aging populations\, SATYA is a simple yet highly effective system to help safely mobilize and repair the connective tissues. \nDiscover the Anatomy of Yoga\, Nadis\, and Prana\nThis immersion with Tias and Surya includes guided meditation\, sound resonance\, dharma study\, visualization training\, and SATYA practice. We do yoga postures following SATYA to stabilize the core tissues of the body. Tias will teach anatomy through an array of colorful slides. Tias integrates images from nature\, sacred architecture and art to describe the energetic flow of prana through the body. Tias brings his background in Sanskrit\, cranial-sacral study\, yoga philosophy\, and mystical anatomy to provide a transformational online course of study. \n\nCOURSE OF STUDY:\n\n\nHow to cultivate essential sensory-motor awareness by experiencing small movements out of gravity\nThe way SATYA movements benefit the lower back.\nThe effects of SATYA on the iliopsoas and spine.\nThe anatomy of the five myo-fascial sheaths and how to use the SATYA movements combined with asana\nPractice to develop an awareness of each sheath.\nHow to be in “The Pause” and experience the importance of not doing.\nReduce body fatigue.\nAddress low back pain.\nThe importance of spirals and counter spirals.\n“It’s all about the joints”: working with the tendons\, ligaments and joint spaces.\nBeing in the “Pause”: the importance of not-doing.\nHow gravity can be your friend.\nHow to “ride the edge” through small movements.\n\n\n  \nWhen: August 10 – 14 | 9:30am – 12:30pm and 2:00 – 5:00pm | Lunch 12:30 – 2:00pm \nCost: $1\,050 – price includes organic nourishing lunch meals curated & prepared in Surya’s Kitchen! \n  \n\n**This in-person immersion offers 30-Hours of Continuing Education hours\, and can be applied towards the required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Teacher Training. An extra 15 hours of online work is also included should you wish to pursue SATYA certification.

SUMMARY:Marma as Gateway to the Subtle Body | Immersion at Breathe Together Yoga in Los Gatos\, CA
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nIn yoga and Ayurveda\, marma points are vital acupressure points located on the surface of the body that connect to the energetic circuitry of nerve and blood. In this course we detail the 21 most important marma points that can be directly stimulated through yoga postures. Via pressure point therapy\, we activate the flow of prana at each marma point to improve circulation through the skin\, fascia and organs. We study the anatomical location of each point\, comparing and contrasting the marma points of Ayurveda to the acupuncture points used in Chinese Medicine. We provide pressure point release in yoga postures\, through direct stimulation using bolsters\, blocks\, the floor and belts. In dyads\, we use restorative poses such as supta baddha konasana\, savasana\, and leg-up-the-wall pose combined with manual pressure point release. Each day\, when practicing alone\, we cover ways to impart direct stimulation on the points using small physio-balls. This course is deeply rejuvenating while providing the essential knowledge to use pressure point stimulation in any therapeutic context in order to heal the subtle body. \n\nDAY 1: Points for the Feet and Leg | Friday\, May 5th \nIntroduction to utilizing marma and acupressure points as energetic portals into the nadi system. SUMMARY:Autoimmune Yoga | Online Immersion
DESCRIPTION:US STUDENTS REGISTER HERE\nUK STUDENTS REGISTER HERE\n\nIn many ways\, the immune system is the most remarkable system in the body given its discriminating intelligence known in Sanskrit as viveka. And we could say that having a strong immune system is in many regards the ultimate aim of a yoga practice. Yet there are times when the immune system attacks itself\, compromising the healthy cells and tissues of the body and causing fatigue\, inflammation and bodily tenderness. In this course\, we will review the primary role of the lymphatic system in maintaining health. \nThrough practice we will discover how through somatic movement\, postural yoga\, and meditation\, we can help build a radiant immune system. We use specific restorative positions to counter the debilitating effects of autoimmune syndromes such as Hashimoto’s\, Rheumatoid Arthritis\, and Multiple Sclerosis. \nCOST: $125 +tax \nWHEN: Thursdays\, April 6\, 20\, and 27 | 9:30am – 11:30am Mountain Time \n\n**Autoimmune Yoga is good for 6-Hours of Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance\, and can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300-Hour Program\, and the Yoga Therapy Track \n**Please note ALL Live Zoom sessions will be recorded should you be unable to attend any live streams. SUMMARY:Healing the Organic Body | Online Immersion
DESCRIPTION:USA STUDENTS REGISTER HERE\nUK STUDENTS REGISTER HERE\n\nWhile it is valuable to stretch and strengthen the musculoskeletal system in yoga\, the health of the organs brings radiant vitality to the entire body. \n  \nCost: $725 for the full immersion\, or $150 for individual days \n\nDay 1 | The Large Intestine – October 13 | 9:30am – 12:30pm Mountain Time \nThe Large Intestine is the primary organ of cleansing and removal. We begin the course by preparing the base of the GI tract for elimination. We build stability and mobility in the sacrum\, hips\, and pelvis to support the movement of apana in the lower gut. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 1\nDay 2 | The Kidneys – October 14 | 9:30am – 12:30pm Mountain Time \nThe kidneys are considered the source of vitality for the entire body. It is essential not to allow the kidney region to become restricted\, locked\, or dehydrated. This can happen as a result of muscular tension in the low back\, fear\, and emotional holding. In this class we will regard the kidneys as huge aquifers that provide endurance and homeostasis to the entire body. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 2\nDay 3: | The Liver – October 15 | 9:00am – 1:30pm Mountain Time \nCalled “The General” in Chinese Medicine\, the liver is the largest organ in the body. It is a real multi-tasker — it manufactures and stores blood and is the primary site where blood is purified. The liver is also a receptacle for toxins and negative emotion. The practice of yoga improves liver function by cleansing and purifying the blood. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 3\nDay 4 | The Lungs – October 16 | 9:30am – 12:30pm Mountain Time \nThe lungs are highly sensitive organs that are responsible for oxygenating the blood\, removing carbon dioxide\, and absorbing prana into the body. We keep the lungs supple through asana\, pranayama\, and heart centered practices. In the time of COVID we build resiliency and immunity within the lung tissue. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 4\nDay 5 | The Brain – October 17 | 9:30am – 12:30pm Mountain Time \nB.K.S Iyengar once said that the brain is the hardest organ to adjust. The neural expression of the brain can be felt in every tissue of the body. Through movement and meditation we support the cranial rhythms\, optimize circulatory flow through the brain\, and balance the two brain hemispheres. \nREGISTER FOR DAY 5\n\nSCHEDULE:\nDAILY LIVE ZOOM MEETINGS: \n\nOctober 13 – 17\, 2021 | 9:30am -12:30pm Mountain Time | 4:30 – 7:30pm UK Time\n**Except Friday\, October 15 | 9:00am – 1:30pm Mountain Time | 4:00 – 8:30pm UK Time\n\n\n**Please note ALL Live Zoom sessions will be recorded should you be unable to attend any live streams. These recordings are available indefinitely. \n**Included in this course is bonus access to two Prajna Live classes at 10:00 – 11:30am Mountain Time (5:00 – 6:30pm UK Time) on Tuesday\, October 12 and Friday\, October 15. You will have access to these classes directly in the course curriculum for 2 weeks after the course completes. \n\n**Healing the Organic Body is good for 30 hours of total combined live training\, pre-recorded material\, classes\, homework\, and mentorship available for Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance. All course materials are available indefinitely. \n**Healing the Organic Body can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.  \n**Healing the Organic Body is part of the Prajna Yoga Therapy Track. \n**Have your props handy! We recommend two blocks\, blankets\, a thick bolster\, an 8’ or 10’ belt/strap\, and a backless Iyengar chair (modifications will be given if you do not have a chair).
