SUMMARY:Embodied Stillness
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER: IN-PERSON\nREGISTER: LIVESTREAM\n\nJoin us for a focused weekend of practice to restore balance\, refine perception\, and settle into the body. Through SATYA somatic movement\, breath\, and meditation\, we explore how to release unnecessary effort\, awaken internal support\, and cultivate a steady\, quiet mind. A chance to reconnect with practice in a simple and direct way. \n\nSupple Hips\, Quiet Mind | Friday 3-6 \nIn this class we practice a long sequence to open the hips in order to be still\, stable and centered in seated meditation. We open the frontal\, lateral\, and inside hip through SATYA movements and yoga postures. This class is an immersion to generate fluidity in the hips through both mobilization and stabilization techniques. Tias guides a series of movements to stretch\, unwind and free the powerful musculature around the hips prior to sitting. \nCentering In | Saturday 9-12 \nThe region just below the navel is the center of gravity in the body. Called the hara in Japan\, the dantian in China and related to the second chakra in yoga\, the lower belly is the source of breath and the origin of the deep life force. In this class we initiate every movement and every pose from the lower belly. Through active and passive positions\, we stretch\, expand and strengthen the tissues of the lower abdomen. \n\nFor those who can\, please join us in the beautiful setting of the Prajna Temple and register to attend in person. \nFor those students who cannot attend in person\, please join us via livestream. \nThis immersion is open to all levels. \nWhen: June 5\, and 6 (all times shown in Mountain Time)\n \n\nFriday 3:00pm-6:00pm\nSaturday 9:30am-12:30pm\n\nCost: $70 + tax per class | In-person at the Prajna Temple | 11 Toltec Rd\, Santa Fe\, NM \nCost: $60 + tax per class | Livestream \n\n**In person students please bring your own yoga mat. All other props are provided. \n**Livestream students have your props handy! We recommend two blocks\, blankets\, a thick bolster\, an 8’ or 10’ belt/strap\, and a backless chair (modifications will be given if you do not have a chair). We recommend yogaoutlet.com and Manduka for props; backless chairs can be found on Amazon and Etsy. \n**Please note\, each day’s session will be recorded. The recordings are available to all students for 30 days after the last class concludes. \n** This immersion is valid for a total of 6.0 hours of Continuing Education\, or 3.0 hours per class\, and can be applied towards the required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Program. \n**Please note that all classes are in Mountain Time.
