SUMMARY:Holding it all Together: Yoga and Connective Tissue | Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nFascia is the physical structure that holds us together. Literally. It keeps our bones upright\, our organs in place\, and supports the pathway of the nerves. In this class we practice movements that enhance the flow of fascia through the body.  We also track how thoughts\, feeling\, memory\, and a sense of “I” are imprinted on the connective tissues. \n  \nWhen: December 9 & 10 | 9:30am – 12:30pm Mountain Time | 4:30 – 7:30pm UK Time \nCost: £65 \n\nCo-Hosted with: \n\n  \n  \n\n\nCertification Requirements:\n\nUpon completion of this workshop\, you will receive a Yogacampus Certificate of Completion. If you wish to gain certification from Prajna Yoga as a SATYA teacher\, you are required to take the SATYA 1 intensive running November 21 – 25\, 2020 and complete additional hours of self-study. SUMMARY:Healing the Organic Body | Online Weekend Immersion
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\n\n\nWhile most yoga classes aim to simply stretch the muscles and connective tissue\, this course focuses on specific techniques to help optimize the flow of prana (blood and lymph) through the internal organs. When the organs perform optimally\, there is radiant vitality in the body. Many people suffer from stagnation in the viscera due to excess sitting\, dietary imbalances and emotional holding. This can lead to sluggishness\, stagnation and the unwanted growth of tumors and cysts. In this unique course\, we practice to promote health and vital function within the internal organs. We review the anatomical position and function of each organ. We practice dynamic and restorative yoga postures and SATYA to squeeze\, wring\, drain and cleanse fluids through each organ. \n\n\n\nYoga for the Large Intestine | Saturday\, October 31\, 2020 at 9:30am – 12:30pm MDT\n\n\n\n\n\nYoga for the Lungs | Saturday\, October 31\, 2020 at 1:30 – 4:30pm MDT\n\n\n\n\n\nYoga for the Liver | Sunday\, November 1\, 2020 at 9:30am – 12:30pm MST\n\n\n\n\n\nYoga for the Brain | Sunday\, November 1\, 2020 at 1:30 – 4:30pm MST\n\n\n\n\n\nCost: Single sessions: $80 by Friday\, September 25\, 2020; $90 thereafter\, \nSave 10% when you register for all 4 workshops: $288 by Friday\, September 25\, 2020; $324 thereafter \n\n\n\nCo-Hosted with: \n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nSome Logistics: \nThis event is hosted by Prairie Yoga. SUMMARY:The Power of the Spine | Online Day-Long Workshop
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\nThere are a total of 72 joints in the spinal column and the spine is capable of multiple small movements\, yet as we age the spine typically becomes compressed\, twisted and displaced. In this class\, we practice supine\, seated and standing movements to generate optimal flow through the spine. In the mystical yoga tradition\, the power of the spine is given many names: the Kundalini\, the Lustrous Channel\, the Silent Channel\, the Shaft of Light. In this class learn to amplify the flow of the deep life force through your spinal column.\n\n\nCost: $160 by Friday\, September 25\, 2020;
$180 thereafter\n\n\nHosted by: \n\n\n\n\nSome Logistics: \nThis event is hosted by Prairie Yoga. SUMMARY:On the Path of Yoga | Online Weekend Immersion
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE FOR THE FULL IMMERSION\n\nCo-Hosted with: \n\n  \n  \nand \n\n  \n\nOn the Path of Yoga: A Prajna Yoga Weekend \nJoin us for a special online immersion co-hosted with One Tree Yoga & Karma Yoga Omaha to deepen your practice! On the Path of Yoga is a unique and rich offering\, which will touch on many areas of your yoga practice. Register for the full immersion\, or sign up for an individual session. \n\nSupple Hips\, Quiet Mind | Friday Evening: 5:00 – 7:00pm MDT \nIt is important for students of yoga to have open hips in order to be still\, stable and centered in seated meditation. This class is an immersion to generate fluidity in the hips through both mobilization and stabilization techniques. Tias guides a series of movements to stretch\, unwind and free the powerful musculature around the hips prior to sitting. \nCost: $45 \nREGISTER HERE FOR FRIDAY EVENING\n\nBones\, Breath\, and Balance | Saturday Morning: 9:00am – 12:00pm MDT \nAs we age the bones become lighter and less stable. In the spiritual traditions of India and China\, the bone and the bone marrow are thought to hold the deep life force. In this class we build greater connection to the bones through standing and supine poses. We practice balancing poses in standing and supine positions. This makes the bone and its surrounding tissue strong and supple. Like tapping into an aquifer we access the bone and bone marrow to tap the body’s deepest essence. \nCost: $55 \nREGISTER HERE FOR SATURDAY MORNING\n\nYoga of the Sun\, Yoga of the Moon | Saturday Afternoon: 3:00 – 5:00pm MDT \nYoga is described historically as the union of opposites\, and in this class we investigate the polarity between solar and lunar energies in the body\, two opposing and complementary sources of light and gravitational pull. In practice we balance the two sides of the body right and left in order to animate and illuminate the central channel of the spine. Come prepared to practice postures\, mudras\, chanting and meditation to create a harmonic convergence within the subtle energy fields of the body. \nCost: $45 \nREGISTER HERE FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON\n\nCost: $135 for the whole weekend\, $45 for 2-hour workshops\, $55 for 3-hour workshop \n**Sign up for the whole weekend\, or register for individual events! \n\n  \nSome logistics: \nHave your props handy! SUMMARY:The Sacrum-Skull Polarity | Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nThe cranium and pelvis are closely paired in their structure and dynamic function. In this immersion\, we practice somatic movements and yoga poses to integrate and balance the motion of the sacrum-skull polarity. In the pelvis\, we do practices to release the sacroiliac joint and engage the root (mula) of the body. In the skull\, we practice movements to balance the delicate structures of the upper neck. We study the sacrum-skull polarity in downward dog\, wheel\, bridge\, and more. We will see how yoga postures benefit the fluid dynamics within the spine\, spinal cord\, and intervertebral discs and benefit the parasympathetic nervous system. In this class we will see how the sacrum-skull polarity links the sacral and cranial chakras. \nCost: £32 per event\, or £55 for both events \n\nCo-Hosted with: \n\n  \n\nSome Logistics: \nThis event is hosted by Yogacampus. SUMMARY:Bloodstream Yoga | Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nIn yoga\, circulation in the body is likened to the flow of rivers and streams. All the blood vessels transport bright red\, prana infused oxygen. In yoga\, these channels are referred to as nadis or “little rivers.” In this immersion\, whether in motion or in stillness\, we increase circulation through all tissues of the body. When all tributaries within the bloodstream circulate freely\, there is optimal health in the body. In this class we increase circulation of the blood by sensing its pulsatory rhythm and directing its flow. This builds meditative awareness. We begin class with an excerpt from the famous “Bloodstream Sermon” given by Bodhidharma\, the first Zen patriarch. \n  \nCost: £32 per workshop\, or £55 for both workshops \n\nCo-hosted with: \n\n  \n\nSome Logistics: \nThis event is hosted by Yogacampus. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nIn this class we yoke to the inherent life force within\, a force that is at once ancient and yet always immediate and continuously evolving. Tias guides students in both meditation and movement practices to listen to the power of this pulse\, to recognize its frequency and to animate its presence. This practice is at once profoundly restorative and enlivening. \nCost: $40 \n\nCo-hosted with: \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n\nSome logistics: \nHave your props handy! SUMMARY:Yoga\, Longevity\, and the Reproductive Organs | Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nIn the internal arts of yoga\, qi gung and tai chi\, the health of the reproductive organs is critical for longevity. Through postures and flowing movements (SATYA—Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga)\, this workshop is designed to stretch\, tone and strengthen the connective tissues that surround the reproductive organs. \nWe begin with Tias showing slides of the anatomical detail for the key structures within the pelvis. This includes not only the reproductive organs but the lower two spinal chakras. SUMMARY:PRAJNA LIVE | THE BALANCING ACT | ONLINE PRACTICE
DESCRIPTION:At this time of global unrest\, we see that life is a balancing act. In the act of balancing\, both on and off the mat\, we note how balance includes periods of imbalance. In order to balance the body we need a good center of gravity combined with an ability to pull inward while expanding out. This class starts with balancing positions from the floor before making our way to standing and seated balance positions. Balancing poses bring lightness\, strength\, and poise to the body-mind. \nCost: $18 \n\nSome logistics:\nHave your props handy! We recommend a block\, blanket\, bolster\, belt (and chair if you have access to one). \nPlease note all live-stream classes are in Mountain Time. \nWhen you register\, you’ll receive a link to join the Zoom webinar at the scheduled time. You do not need a Zoom account to access the links. If you register while the class is in progress\, you will receive a link to join the webinar in progress. You will also have the option to view the recorded webinar at a later time.  \nCan’t join us at 10am MDT because of your schedule or time zone? We’ve got you covered! Reserve your seat and we’ll send you the video recording to watch when you can\, available for 10 days after the livestream.

SUMMARY:Free Flow for Energy & Deep Rest | Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\n\n\nI find that amidst so much anxiety and uncertainty today\, I need a practice that is rejuvenating and healing. In my personal home practice\, I take an hour each day to open my fluid channels\, to hydrate and stay supple. If you would like to learn movements that will reduce fatigue\, counter sleeplessness\, and remove muscular-skeletal strain\, I hope you’ll join me Thursday at 11:30am EDT for my live workshop with Yoga Journal\, Free Flow for Energy & Deep Rest. \nIn hatha yoga it is said there are as many as 350\,000 subtle body channels in the body! The ancient yogis likened the channels in the body to little rivers. In this class\, I will be like a river guide helping you to navigate the rivers\, streams\, and tributaries of your bloodstream. I will begin showing some amazing slides and a video to elucidate the fluid body\, and then we’ll dive into the cool waters of a healing practice to nourish the subtle body. \n\nTias\n\n\n\n\n\nSome Logistics: \nThis event is hosted by Yoga Journal. Please reach out to them directly with any issues or questions.  \nPlease note all events are listed in Mountain Time. \nHave your props handy!
