SUMMARY:Polarity Yoga: Finding Balance Through Opposing Forces | August 6-Class Online Series
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER ONLINE\n\n\nThis month we explore how the body comes into balance through complementary relationships. Beginning with the feet and moving upward to the crown of the head\, discover how opposing landmarks bring harmony\, stability and grace to the entire body. \n\nWant to register for individual classes? Click here. \n*All classes are held from 10:00 – 11:30am Mountain Time* \n\nTailbone & Crown\nTuesday\, August 4\n\nDiscover the body’s central axis by balancing the grounding of the tailbone with the lift of the crown. Through somatic movements\, yoga postures and quiet observation\, we’ll explore how these complementary forces create length\, stability\, and effortless posture. \n\nLungs & Large Intestine\nFriday\, August 7th\nThis class brings synergy to the breath in the chest and the “breath” in the lower belly. By awakening the relationship between the lungs and lower abdomen\, we’ll discover how respiration\, digestion\, and vitality naturally support one another. \nHands & Shoulder Blades\nTuesday\, August 11th\nThe intelligence of the hands is intimately connected to the freedom of the shoulder girdle. Through weight-bearing\, reaching\, and refined actions\, we’ll discover how awakening the hands creates stability and lightness in the shoulders. \nThroat & Lower Belly\nFriday\, August 14th\n\nThe throat and lower abdomen mirror one another in surprising ways. Through rhythmic movement and breath\, we’ll explore how these two centers coordinate expression\, support\, and the body’s natural pulsation. \n\nCalves & Quadriceps\nSunday\, August 16th\nWalking\, standing\, and balancing depend upon a dynamic interplay between the front and back of the legs. We’ll explore how balanced strength and elasticity create lighter\, more resilient movement. \nSit Bones & Skull\nFriday\, August 28th\nThe tentorium is a beautiful diaphragm that cuts right through the cranium\, dividing the lower and upper parts of the brain. In this class we do movements to balance the tent-like sheath inside the skull.\n\nCost: $100 + tax\n\n\nHave your props handy! We recommend two blocks\, blankets\, a thick bolster\, an 8’ or 10’ belt/strap\, and a backless chair (modifications will be given if you do not have a chair). We recommend yogaoutlet.com and Manduka for props; backless chairs can be found on Amazon and Etsy.\nPlease note that all classes are in Mountain Time.\nCan’t join us at 10am MT because of your schedule or time zone? We’ve got you covered! Reserve your seat and all video recordings will be uploaded to your course curriculum to watch when you can\, available to stream for 30 days after the last day of class.

SUMMARY:Yoga and Sacred Geometry | September 6-Class Online Series
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER ONLINE\n\n\nWorking with geometric designs is one of the oldest yoga practices. Sacred designs (yantra) describe the movement of energy\, direct the psyche and center the body. This month we integrate sacred geometry into each class to ground the body and support spacious awareness. \n\nWant to register for individual classes? Click here. \n*This month\, all classes are held from 9:00 – 10:30am Mountain Time* \n\nThe Square\nFriday\, September 4th\n\nThe square is the most stable and rooted geometric shape. It is linked to the earth element and provides the foundation for the entire body. In this class\, discover ways that the square provides stability in the feet\, knees\, hands\, and pelvis. \n\nThe Circle\nTuesday\, September 8th\nThe circle (mandala) is the fluid shape that provides a container for the energies of the body. Like a pot or vessel\, the circle holds the life force. It is related to the water element and in this class we explore circular movement to bring both fluidity and containment to the body. \nTriangle\nFriday\, September 11th\nThe triangle is the defining shape for the direction of upward and downward moving energy. The downward triangle connects to the tailbone\, the earth\, and the apana (the breath in the lower belly)\, while the upward triangle points to the center of the skull\, the experience of space and prana. In this class we explore the overlay of both upward and descending triangles as in the classic Sri Yantra design. \nThe Petals\nTuesday\, September 15th\n\nMany mandalas feature lotus petals to express the expansion of inner energy. In this class we work with lotus petals along the chakras and in the feet and hands. \n\nSpiral\nFriday\, September 18th\nIn nature\, the spiral is the form that enables movement and life. It manifests as rivers\, trees\, blood vessels and DNA. In this class we will discover many spirals in the body\, moving through legs\, spine and skull. \nThe Dot\nTuesday\, September 29th\n\nThe dot or point is the most simple yet powerful design. Typically placed on the Third Eye\, it represents singular focus along with spacious awareness. In this class we discover ways to locate the dot (bindu) on the forehead\, back skull\, hands\, feet and heart. \n\n\nCost: $100 + tax\n\n\nHave your props handy! We recommend two blocks\, blankets\, a thick bolster\, an 8’ or 10’ belt/strap\, and a backless chair (modifications will be given if you do not have a chair). We recommend yogaoutlet.com and Manduka for props; backless chairs can be found on Amazon and Etsy.\nPlease note that all classes are in Mountain Time.\nCan’t join us at 9am MT because of your schedule or time zone? We’ve got you covered! Reserve your seat and all video recordings will be uploaded to your course curriculum to watch when you can\, available to stream for 30 days after the last day of class.

SUMMARY:SATYA 1 | Opening the Fascia | In-Person & Livestream Online Immersion
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE: IN-PERSON\nREGISTER HERE: LIVESTREAM \nUK STUDENTS REGISTER HERE\n\nSensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement\nCourse Description\nIn a totally unique way\, the SATYA practice opens doorways into the interior\, providing new pathways of perception and feeling. It guides students away from “doing” movement and toward sensing\, receiving and “being” movement. As an adjunct to yoga practice\, somatic awareness leads to embodied wisdom. \nSATYA is Prajna Yoga’s “yin” style practice. All the movements are done on the floor in a flowing fashion\, without force. The SATYA movements cultivate inner listening and heighten proprioceptive awareness. This awareness is the body’s innate intelligence. By increasing our capacity for sensory awareness\, we become more sentient\, wakeful beings in the world. The exercises are non-weight bearing and involve sliding\, gliding and circular movements to reduce myo-fascial holding in the body. \nThe SATYA training\, along with yoga postures\, involves neural-muscular re-education. Like in vinyasa training\, breath is combined with movement in order to deepen the respiratory rhythm. All movements support profound physical rest of the body and prepare for savasana and yoga nidra (the yogic sleep). \nOur SATYA 1 immersion is perfect for first-time students or returning practitioners looking to reconnect with the subtle body. Experience SATYA 1 from anywhere with our livestream online option. Join Tias & Surya in real time via Zoom\, or watch on your own schedule with one-year access to all recordings. You’ll receive the full experience—guided practices\, digital materials\, and access to our vibrant online learning space—all from the comfort of home. \n\nLivestream Online\nThe in-person immersion (in Santa Fe\, New Mexico\, USA) will be livestreamed.  You have the option to attend live via Zoom or watch the recordings on your schedule. \nThe hybrid immersions bring the full depth of the Prajna Yoga experience directly to you\, wherever you are in the world. With advanced livestream technology and thoughtfully curated supplemental materials\, you’ll feel like you’re right in the room—without ever having to travel. \nLearn more about our Livestream Online Immersions here.\n\nCourse of Study\n\ncultivate essential sensory-motor awareness\nmobilize the joints and build bi-lateral symmetry in the body\naddress low back pain\ndesign fundamental sequences that include both SATYA and asana\ndiscover the importance of spirals and counter spirals\n“it’s all about the joints”: working with tendons\, ligaments\, and joint spaces\nbeing in the “Pause”: the importance of not-doing\nusing gravity to help center inward\nre-educating the neural-muscular system and brain pathways\nlearn how to “ride the edge” through small movements\nlearn the healing potential of the movements and their effects on the myofascial system\nreduce fatigue and exhaustion\nreduce the effects of speed trapped in the body\nsense and feel the connection of the iliopsoas muscle to your spine\ndiscover how to use the SATYA movements to stretch the myofascial sheaths\ninvestigate the most current myofascial and brain information based on current research\n\n  \n*SATYA I is the first course of a 3-part 150-Hour SATYA Certification Program \n*SATYA 1 is a prerequisite for SATYA 2 and SATYA 3 \n\nWhen: April 10 – 14\, 2027 | 9:30am – 5:00pm Mountain Time\n  \nRegister before February 10\, 2027\, to lock in 2026 prices.\n  \nEarly bird pricing:\n\nIn-Person Immersion in Santa Fe: $1\,398 + tax (includes daily lunches)\nLivestream Online Immersion: $1\,050 + tax\n\nCost after February 10\, 2027: \n\nIn-Person Immersion in Santa Fe: $1\,498 + tax (includes daily lunches)\nLivestream Online Immersion: $1\,150 + tax\n\n\n**Registration includes one year of access to the course materials \n**Registration for the in-person immersion includes daily vegetarian lunches and tea\, sourced organically when available. \n**SATYA 1 is good for 45-Hours of Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance\, and can be applied towards required hours for the Prajna Yoga Therapy Track and our 300/500-Hour Teacher Training Program \n**SATYA 1 is run in collaboration with Yogacampus.
